Thanks to John: (posted on Vicky's Board -- see link at the left)

HI
AD is unveiling the new seveenteen vinyl dolls at rosemont this weekend. Robert Tonner did the sculpt and I have to say love them! There are 5 dolls and 3 outfits- 4 dolls are prom gowns from the 40's 50's 70's and today. The other doll is a modern casually dressed doll and the outfits are made I think to go with her.One outfit especially looks cool is a white lace skirt and white lace boots! I know I am going to have to get all of these. There are a couple of new releases for the Gene line and one is I think wonderfull! It is for fan appreciation weekend the other is a new simply Violet in a very cool colored lingerie! For anyone going to rosemont the seminar is 10:30 ON SATURDAY AND SO FAR IS IN ROOM 2 BUT CHECK WHEN YOU GET THERE to make sure it doesn't change.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there! John

I've added a new comment system to the Confidential. Right below the posts, next to the time, you will see a comment link. If you click on it, it will open up a new window and you can post whatever your heart desires. Gotta opinion on what I just said. Just want to say hi? Give it a try. Thanks. :o)

Reba's got the scoop on the latest GGGC meeting here. There are some great pictures. I highly urge you to check it out!

Out of the loop *again.* LOL.

Where was I when Tonner introduced his mid-season releases? Who knows, but you can see them all here. (Thanks Reba.)

Thoughts on Emme? I've got a few...but those will be coming later.

There's a GGGC meeting tomorrow and I can't wait!

In the meantime, I finally got around to setting up an ImageStation album. The first album is dedicated to Miss Sara Crewe, The Little Princess.

Oh yeah, and I went to a doll show, remember?

Sadly, with each season, the shows tend to get smaller and smaller and smaller. The internet is to blame, with sites like eBay and other online retailers vying for your hard-earned money. But its so hard to get that same experience when shopping online, the wonderful smell of a brand-new Alexander, freshly unfurled from her pink tissue paper, or the hunt for that elusive accessory, or bit of trim. You know it's there, and you have to touch and fondle and chat with the dealers...the computer doesn't offer that tactile experience that shows do. *sigh*

I saw Gene everywhere...and Tyler, and some Alex, Barbies as well, with top dollar going for the brunette Silkstones ($250+) And not a Sydney to be found! She is quite the media darling.

I found some little trinkets for my Lawton Little Princess, more toys, miniature dolls, some lace trim. My collecting focus has changed in the last year...two years really. I have the complete line of Gene from 1994-1999. I had to have it all. And now, I just have TOO MUCH STUFF. I am choosier now. I only got a handful of dolls last year, and only one so far this year. Instead I am focusing on other dolls, which happen to be much more exspensive, but the enjoyment is just the same. I had always loved the Lawton dolls from when I first laid eyes on them, and now I finally have one, and another, hopefully by the end of the year. I can't afford (unless of course, I happen to win the lottery, LOL) those antique French fashion dolls I lust over, but to me, these are the next best thing. These are the French fashion dolls of tomorrow. Those dolls, combined with the friendships I have made over the last few years mean much more to me then I could possibly imagine, much more then money can buy.

And the show, Mom and I still found some treasures...she came home with a vintage platinum Terri Lee in a wonderful tagged outfit!

A little bird told me that AD has signed with someone for the 2003 Convention...
